Dear Fellow Carson City Residents,

My name is Michelle Pedersen, and I am running for Carson City School Board, Trustee 7. Over the past 20 years, my family has called Carson City home—a place where we've not only lived but actively participated in shaping the community spirit.

I am not a career politician. I am a mom who has been deeply involved in our community through extensive volunteer work that spans youth sports, school activities, and community service. My guiding principle has always been inclusive participation; when my children join an activity, it means our whole family joins in supporting that endeavor.

Running for this position is a natural extension of my commitment to our community. I bring a wealth of experience from volunteering in our schools and serving in various community roles—experiences that provide me with a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing our educational system.

I am dedicated to fostering an environment where our children can thrive academically and socially. My focus will be on enhancing educational excellence, promoting effective and inclusive extracurricular programs, and ensuring every child in Carson City can succeed.
